Speculations about the upcomingGoogle Nexus smartphone are rife, with almost all specifications of the device leaked by various sources. The upcoming device -- likely to be called Nexus 5 -- is expected to be showcased by the internet giant soon, accompanied by the newest version of Android named KitKat.
The latest rumour about the Nexus 5 comes courtesy technology website AndroidSAS, which claims that the smartphone will be unveiled on October 30. Google launched the current Nexus phone in October last year as well.
But it seems Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 will not be the only newcomers in Google's portfolio. EVLeaks, which is known for providing accurate gadget leaks, has tweeted an image with a poster of the Nexus 10 tablet with the caption "Getting Closer." This has sparked rumours that Google will launch Nexus 10 alongside Nexus 5.
The image leaked by EVLeaks does not have a photo of Google's next 10-inch tablet, but it shows that the device will be manufactured by Asus. Taiwanese company Asus has manufactured the past two iterations of Nexus 7, while Samsung made last year's version of Nexus 10.
Several details about Nexus 5 have leaked on the internet. Codenamed Hammerhead, Google Nexus 5 is said to run on Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 800 chipset, which is the most powerful in the world right now. The quad-core application processor will be clocked at 2.3GHz and will be complemented by Adreno 330 graphics processor. Its display will have 1920x1080p resolution, with on-screen resolution being 1794x1080p.
