Ninety one per cent of Indian businesses that responded to a survey conducted by Information management and storage major EMC Corporation feel that Big Data will lead to better decision making.
"91% of Indian businesses surveyed reported that better uses of Big Data will lead to better decision making," EMC India & SAARC President Rajesh Janey told reporters here quoting from the survey.
"In India, big data is giving rise to markedly improved decision making and is having a significant impact on companies' competitive differentiation and ability to avert risk," he said.
EMC released the findings of a survey that asked IT decision makers in India for their perspective on challenges and opportunities that big data and IT transformation - and related skills - can present to their companies.
The company polled a total of 309 business and IT decision makers and executives, technical architects, data scientists and storage/infrastructure managers from a range of Indian businesses who have registered to attend the EMC Forum event in India on October 3, 2013.
