Xperia NXT Series presents the Xperia U smartphone that is designed to demand attention. The touchscreen phone runs on a powerful 1 GHz Dual Core processor and is based on the Android v2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system with Timescape user interface. The user-friendly OS promises a variety of applications, easy multitasking and optimum performance. The Xperia U has a 3.5-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen that supports FWVGA, 854 x 480 pixel resolution with 16 M colours offering you easy navigation and colourful display.
The touchscreen Xperia U has a 5 megapixel primary camera with 16 x digital zoom and LED flash. Design
The bar shaped Xperia U has a boxy design that makes the smartphone look youthful and trendy, yet appealing to users of all ages. The Xperia has a transparent strip at the bottom that lights up when you press the three capacitive dots above it; a unique design element that makes the Xperia U stand apart. The sleek design neatly packs a 3.5 mm audio jack and microphone on top and another mic on the bottom. You will also find a micro USB port on the left side of the phone and power, volume rocker and dedicated camera keys on the right. The display comes with an anti-reflection coating on mineral glass and is scratch-resistant making the Xperia U ideal for travel.
