iPhone's cheaper version has not even been officially confirmed yet, but the price of the supposed smartphone is allegedly out.
There are a number of rumours floating, but according to one report in Japanese blog Macotakara, Apple is trying to keep its price tag at $330.
The blog says the company would be using polycarbonate, instead of glass and aluminium in the body casing. The material will be similar to the one used in Apple's entry-level Macbook that has now been discontinued.
This material is glossy, will make the rumoured cheaper iPhone thicker and also sturdier than iPhone 5.
There was also word on iPhone 5S, the follow-up to the company's current flagship smartphone. This device will reportedly sport dual-LED flash, wherein one will be placed on top of the other. The blog also said that Apple has pushed the development of the iPhone with 4.5-inch touchscreen to 2014.
Previously, it was reported that Apple is working on an iPhone 5 successor that will have new features like snappier processor, fingerprint sensor, 13MP camera and more powerful LED flash. Allegedly leaked photos of the device under various stages of development have also surfaced online.
